Germinder Sponsors 2012 Kansas City Animal Health Corridor Events
(New York, NY – May 4, 2012) - Germinder & Associates, Inc., today announced the company will be a top level presenting sponsor of the 2012 Kansas City Animal Health Corridor Homecoming Event and the Kansas City Animal Health Investment Forum. The events will be held August 27th and August 28th respectively. The agency has been associated with the Corridor since its inception.
"We are proud to have Germinder & Associates once again sponsor the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor events. Germinder's expertise in the sector is a valuable industry resource. The KC Animal Health Corridor Homecoming and Investment Forum bring recognition to our sponsor organizations, adding credibility to these must-attend events," said Kim Young, Vice President, Bioscience Development for the Kansas City Area Development Council.
The Homecoming dinner regularly attracts nearly 800 animal health CEOs, industry service providers, as well as higher education and civic leaders. This year's Homecoming Hoedown will be held Monday, August 27 at Hale Arena and will feature country music legend Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn. Craig Wallace, chief executive officer of Ceva Animal Health and chairman of the KC Animal Health Corridor advisory board will host the event.
The KC Animal Health Investment Forum will be held Tuesday, August 28, in Kansas City. This year's event will showcase the continuum of early stage animal health support in The Corridor with the addition of the Center for Animal Health Innovation (CAHI). Global industry speakers will cover relevant topics for growing animal health companies. Held each year in the heart of the KC Animal Health Corridor in Kansas City, Mo., the Forum showcases animal health companies that meet the following criteria:
- Seeking $500,000 to $20 million in funding
- Revenue projections of $20 million within five to seven years
With the opening of CAHI, the Corridor now offers a robust platform to take early stage companies through proof of concept, secure VC funding through a reformatted Investment Forum, and has several incubator facilities to take these companies to the next level.
"These initiatives continue to grow and bring together all facets of animal health. We look forward to participating and encourage others to join in the celebration of the Animal Health Corridor by sponsoring and attending these events," said Germinder.
