One Profession, One Vision: AVMA in Minneapolis, July 15-20 The annual AVMA convention will be taking over the downtown Minneapolis Convention Center July 16-20, 2005 . The event gets off to a fabulous start with Former First Lady Barbara Bush, who is the keynote speaker at the General Session WVC Opening Ceremony. Also at the General Session will be Dr. Herbert Schneider , President of the World Veterinary Association and Dr. Bernard Vallat , Director General of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). Other programs include the new day long diversity symposium which features Debbye Turner, DVM, a former Miss America and a correspondent for CBS news.
